FAQs

What is IV hydration therapy?

IV hydration therapy is a medical treatment that delivers fluids, vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes directly into your bloodstream through an intravenous (IV) line. It helps to rehydrate your body and provide essential nutrients more effectively than oral intake.

How does IV hydration work?

IV hydration involves inserting a small needle into a vein, usually in your arm. A sterile solution containing fluids, electrolytes, and sometimes vitamins is then administered directly into your bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system for faster and more efficient absorption.

What conditions can IV hydration therapy help with?

IV hydration therapy can help with dehydration, hangovers, fatigue, jet lag, immune system support, athletic recovery and inflammation, and general wellness. It is also beneficial for certain vitamin boosts, such as Iron, and delivering oxygen to core areas of the body, such as your brain and gut.

How long does an IV hydration session take?

The duration of an IV hydration session can vary based on the specific treatment and your hydration needs. Typically, sessions can range from 30 minutes to an hour.

How soon should I feel the effects?

Depending on your nutritional and hydration status you may see dramatic effects after the first IV. People who get IV’s regularly will feel less dramatic effects as their body starts to obtain optimal hydration and nutritional balance.

Are there any side effects during or after the IV process?

Typically, there are no major side effects; however, people do experience some cooling of the arm and a mineral taste in the mouth during the session. After your session, you may experience a slight irritation near the injection site which should reduce within hours. Do not worry, as this is all normal.

Can I eat and drink before an IV session?
